We had the best time of our lives!!! We had a group of 14 and had the whole villa to our selfs. We enjoyed the pools the view the fishing it was great! Wonderful people to work with very easy to communicate with! On-site help was spectacular!! We loved every minute!!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Belize, do not hesitate to book Shedrock Shangrila-La! Whether it’s couples, families, or group of friends, this home was designed with all groups in mind! We had two families (4 adults, 2 kids, and an infant) and the home was perfect. There are two fully secluded studios on the ground level. The second floor has a 2 bedroom unit and 1 hotel style studio. You can lock off the “exterior” door to the hotel studio and make it only accessible through the two bedrooms balcony slider and it turned it into a 3 bedroom which makes it ideal for a family where you want to keep all kids contained. The upper level is a beautiful one bedroom suite.

The home has 2 pools, kayaks and paddle boards, bicycles and golf carts to venture into town, and corn hole! If that isn’t enough adventure, D-Golden tours took us on some wonderful excursions.

In total, the house has 4 full kitchens, but don’t even think about touching that stove. Hire Chef Aaron to do all of your cooking! We had Chef Aaron cook us breakfast and dinner daily (besides one dinner in town), and it was by far the BEST decision we made.

Robyn and Tony (the owners of this home) have thought through every detail of this home from the modern design and incredible layout, the extra towels for pool days, 3 outdoor dining areas, lounge chairs everywhere with views all around, a dock on site for water excursion pickups, lots of USB ports, 8 massive flat screen TVs for those rainy days, golf carts on site to wander into the charming village, and wonderful staff who keeps the grounds clean and the home provided with anything we need.

We are getting ready to check out this morning and we are already trying to plan our next trip back! Especially once the new ground level pool is complete! Book this house and come enjoy your own private slice of paradise in Belize. You will not be disappointed.

We just had such a wonderful trip to Belize and Shedrock Shangrila was absolutely wonderful! There was nothing they haven’t thought of to make your stay comfortable. We took advantage of being able to preorder groceries and it was so nice to check in after a long day of travel and have our dinner groceries all ready so we could grill and have a cold Belikin beer! The tours we booked all came recommended from the owner and were wonderful with such a convenient pickup right outside at the dock. The property manager and grounds keeper were all so great as well.

If you stay in the penthouse you have to take advantage of the outside shower at night. The view of the stars is incredible!

I have found my favorite vacation spot! A true piece of heaven! Everything about our stay was perfect- the house, the amenities, and the hospitality! Book your stay NOW- you will NOT regret it!!! I will be back again… and again… and again!!!

We just came back from an amazing 15 day stay. Our experience at Shedrock Shangrila was flawless—a word I’ve never used to describe any hotel resort. We’ve travelled all over Belize for the past 9 years. This place has the best location and accommodations as far as we are concerned. We loved it so much that we decided to buy property on the resort!
The entire stay we felt like we were in our own private island, yet we were within walking distance to restaurants and five minute golf cart ride to Hopkins village.
The building’s architecture and modern design offers 180- degrees of breathtaking ocean views from the rooftop pool area. All accommodations and amenities were first class. All suites come fully equipped with high-end kitchen appliances, cooking utensils and supplies. Management at Shedrock was truly exceptional. Ellen and her staff were quick to provide anything we needed. Simply A++ service and accommodations!

Shedrock Shangrila was absolutely amazing! It is so beautifully decorated with ocean views from every room. It really feels like a high end resort yet so private. My family fell in love with this house, with Robyn and with Belize! We will be returning again and again

This house is beyond amazing! We went in December as a family of 5, and could not have had more fun, and the rooms are incredibly spacious. The beds, rooms, and views are amazing and being able to access the water right in front of the house was a huge plus with our young kids. They walked right into it before we were even able to unpack our bags.

The views are amazing from all three floors, and while we were there about 20-30 pelicans were roosting in a tree on the property, and hunting in the same area. It was an awesome experience! We even saw iguanas from the house, so much wildlife and water. We actually tried our hand at lobster hunting right off the dock, unfortunately we were not very good at it but there were tons of lobsters in the water.

We did get to enjoy a fresh lobster dinner one night when a local came by the land in his boat and asked if we wanted to purchase his catch. All of the local restaurants in Hopkins have some amazing food, and all of the locals are so helpful and friendly. So many fun excursions to do in the area, and island hopping was probably one of my favorites! Such an awesome and fun experience all around and we are already planning our next trip!

When people say they’ve found paradise I always wonder what their definition of paradise might be. Well, please allow me to share with you my recent experience with paradise.
This setting and home are beyond perfect! Every detail has been thought of and incorporated to ensure a visit that rivals high end resorts. The view of the Caribbean is quite literally breathtaking as it surrounds and engulfs you! For our entertainment was beach on one side, bay on the other....kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, fishing, hiking, cook outs on the beach, mind blowing lagoon excursions, two pools.....the list goes on and on! The weather was unusually uncooperative while we were there but let me tell you....if I have to be “stuck inside” due to to rain this is the place I want to be!!! The entire trip was fantastic, including the rain, and I can’t wait to return to enjoy all the other adventures we didn’t get to enjoy the first time. I suspect we’ll be return visitors to Hopkins, Belize many, many more times and specifically to Shedrock Shangri-la!!!!

Staying at Shedrock Shangrila was an experience like no other. The home is immaculate and the views from the roof top pool are spectacular. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. We liked them so much that we asked the owner what they were so we could get some for our home. The owners are super helpful and attentive.

The village of Hopkins is one of my favorite places in Belize. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I fell in love with the home, the country, and the people.

I would give Shedrock Shangrila a five star and highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful piece of paradise. We will be back.... again and again and again.
